GF54.21-P-6040TX Upper control panel control unit, component description

Component Identification

Location

The upper control panel control unit is located in the center console.

General

The upper control panel control unit is connected to the Controller Area Network bus class B (interior) (CAN-B) for the purpose of data exchange.

Task

The upper control panel control unit reads in the following switches, if necessary controls their function and switch and controls illumination and
switches the following displays via a separate microprocessor.

Reading in of integrated switches

Hazard warning system switch (N72/1s5)

Interior central locking and ATA function display switch (N72/1s6)

Automatic child seat recognition airbag OFF indicator lamp (N72/1 e1)

On vehicles as of 1.6.07 and without code (U18) Automatic child seat recognition (ACSR) the airbag Off indicator lamp is only actuated with circuit
15 On for the lamp check for approx. 4 s, over and above that the airbag Off indicator lamp is nonfunctional.
