Component Identification

Location

The telephone and GPS roof antenna (A2/49) is attached above the heated area of the rear window. The telephone antenna A2/49a1) is integrated in the
telephone and GPS roof antenna.

Task

The telephone antenna is responsible for transmitting and receiving telephone signals (data and voice information).

Function

The telephone antenna transmits or receives telephone signals (data and voice information) by converting electromagnetic radio waves into electric
current and vice-versa. The received signals are sent to the telephone compensator, data (A28/2) via the antenna cable.
