Component Identification
Location
The sun sensor is located in the center of the air inlet in the hood.
Task
The sun sensor records the intensity of the solar radiation's angle of incidence to the vehicle. The interior temperature and blower speed are matched to
the intensity. If solar radiation is one sided, an adequate temperature difference is set for the left and right control specified temperature.
The readings are read in by the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) and sent via the Controller Area Network bus Class B
(interior) (CAN-B) to the comfort AAC control and operating unit (N22/7).
