Misfire Complaints / Check Engine Light On Stored Fault Codes P2043 - P2056

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of misfire complaints, please ensure that all engine related systems are within specification.
Determine part number of software version in ME2.8.1 engine control unit by using Star Diagnosis.

If the installed software version of the ME2.8.1 engine control unit does not correspond with the following, perform software update of the ME2.8.1
engine control unit by flashing with Star Diagnosis.

Perform software update of the ME2.8.1 engine control unit by flashing with Star Diagnosis (as of SDS flash release DVD 01/2006).

After flashing please perform SCN coding as per instruction outlined in the following documents located on STAR TekInfo.
