Injection Timing: Adjustments
Adjusting start of delivery with digital tester (RIV method) after testing
Preceding work:

Slacken securing bolts (arrows) on injection pump flange and on supporting bracket.
Run engine at idle speed.
Adjust RI value (indirect start of delivery) by turning the adjusting device (30/1).
RI specification: 14° ±0.5° ATDC.
Direction of rotation of adjusting screw (30/1)
To right = start of delivery retarded
To left = start of delivery advanced
Note:
If the adjustment facility is insufficient, the injection pump must be turned over. See removing and installing injection pump See: Diesel
MFI Pump/Service and Repair
Switch engine off.
Tighten securing bolts (arrows) at injection pump flange and at supporting bracket.
Tightening torque 20-25 Nm.
Disconnect testers.
Screw in plug (arrow) at governor (10/6).
Tightening torque 30-35 Nm.
Perform leak test with engine running.
Check engine oil level, adjust to correct level if necessary.
