Design
The pump plunger (10/16) has a longitudinal groove (10/19) and a helical shaped milled surface on the side. The control edge (10/17) which is
produced by the milled surface is designed to control the quantity injected. The pump cylinder contains the drilling (10/15) (feed and control
drilling) through which the fuel flows from the suction chamber into the delivery chamber and is also able to flow back again during the pressure
relief phase (end of delivery).
Function
Bottom dead centre (A):
The pressure chamber is filled with fuel through the feed and control drilling when the pump is in its bottom-most position.
