GF82.25-P-4102-02TT Special Vehicle Multifunction Control Module, Task

- with CODE (450) Taxi version
- with CODE (934) Taxi emergency alarm unit
- with CODE (970) police emergency vehicles

The special vehicle multifunction control module (SVMCM [MSS]) (N26/9) is used to monitor and control special functions for special vehicles.
In addition to its internal functions the special vehicle multifunction control unit (SVMCU [MSS]) (N26/9) also serves as an interface between the CAN
interior and the control units which do not have a separate CAN connection

The control unit can distinguish between two basic status conditions

^

Taxi

^

Special-purpose vehicles:
-

government vehicles

-

Police and emergency vehicles

-

On request by the customer, private vehicles are also available with a panic alarm

Depending upon the control unit coding and equipment the special vehicle multifunction control unit (SVMCU [MSS[) (N26/9) assumes the following
tasks:

^

voltage supply to service radio (A49)

^

electrical voltage supply to taximeter control unit (A67n1) or to conventional taximeter (A50)

^

maintain data communications with the taximeter control unit (A67n1) via the RS485 bus or with the conventional taximeter (A50) via four wires.

^

electrical voltage supply to the interior socket (X58/1)

^

voltage supply of connector for glove compartment (X29/1)

^

control of the taxi emergency alarm system

^

control of the roof sign lamp (E14/4)

^

actuation of ashtray illumination at left (E9/8) and right rear (E9/9)

^

control of subfunctions of the special signal system

^

control of the panic-mode alarm function (private vehicles) c

^

control and regulation of heated windshield (Special-duty vehicles)

Networking

For data interchange the special vehicle multifunction control unit (SVMCU [MSS]) (N26/9) is connected to the CAN interior.

The control unit coding is done using the Star Diagnosis via the electronic ignition switch control unit (N73). Exception: The heated windshield function
is directly coded in the special vehicle multifunction control unit (SVMCU [MSS]) (N26/9).

Taxis

There are two types of alarm available in the taxi emergency alarm system (Code 934):

Silent Alarm (Stage 1)

^

Active Alarm (Stage 2)

The individual types of alarm are actuated by pressing the emergency alarm system activate button (S62/6) or the taxi emergency alarm two-way radio
remote activation transmitter (A8/4). Pressing the emergency alarm system cancel button (S62/5) switches off the taxi emergency alarm system.

Functional preconditions

No overvoltage or undervoltage

^

Circuit 30 or circuit 15 (emergency alarm functions already active at circuit 30)

Functions for taxi and special-purpose vehicles are integrated into the special vehicle multifunction control unit (SVMCU [MSS]) (N26/9).

These functions encompass:

^

taxi emergency alarm (taxi/rental car)

^

taxi electrical system (taxi/rental car)

^

panic alarm function (private customers)

^

part of the danger alarm system (GAS) (government and special protection)
