Component Identification

Coat sealing lip of new radial seal (42) with universal hypoid gear oil.

Use drift (042) to press radial seal (42) flush into bearing cap.

Coat splines in flange (41) and at drive pinion with universal hypoid gear oil.

Press flange (41) onto drive pinion with bearing cap (47).

Clamp retaining wrench (040) in vise.

Coat contact surface of hexagon collar nut at flange with universal hypoid gear oil.

Screw on and tighten self-locking hexagon collar nut

Replace self-locking hexagon collar nut.

Remove retaining wrench (040).
