Bodyshell Corrosion on Rear Fender
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles with bodyshell corrosion on rear fender, perform the following steps to remedy.
Remedy 1: Area A Corrosion
1.
Remove corrosion on rear fender (Figure 1) in area (A). For areas, refer to attachment "Area A and B on rear fender".
2.
Mask off wheel arch in visible area (B Figure 1), sharp-edges.
3.
Remove bulkhead on rear fender (1 Figure 1).
4.
Remove trim strip on entrance longitudinal member, model 210 up to.5.31.99 reference WIS AR88.20-P-2200F
5.
Release cover on entrance longitudinal member, model 210 as of 6.1.99 reference WIS AR88.20-P-2200FB.
6.
Mask off rear bumper.
7.
Apply primer filler. Use EP/thermo filler. Observe manufacturer's data for curing and processing time of EP/thermo filler. For EP/thermo filler see
