Wiper Switch: Description and Operation

Rear Window Wiper Switch 

Purpose 

Actuate rear window intermittent wiping and rear window washing functions. Function indicator for rear window intermittent wiping function.

Design

The rear window wiper switch (button) (S6/1s4) and the electronic circuitry for the interval function are integrated into the cockpit switch group
(S6/1).

Actuation of the rear wiper switch (S6/1s4) is read in as a voltage coded signal by the signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) (N10/1).

The rear wiper switch consists of a button with two operating contacts and integrated LED. The indicator LED in the switch is actuated by the
SAM when the rear window intermittent wiping function is switched on.

Function

The rear window wiper switch (S6/1s4) has two functions: interval wiping (when pressed at top) and washing (when pressed at bottom).
The electronic circuitry integrated into the rear window wiper switch (S6/1s4) controls the interval time.

Location

The rear window wiper switch (S6/1s4) is located in the center console (cockpit switch group S6/1)
