Headlamp Reminder Indicator: Description and Operation
Headlamp Reminder Indicator
The light reminder prevents the exterior lights being left on when the car is parked.
If the driver or front passenger opens the door after withdrawing the key from the steering lock (lighting reminder buzzer contact S8/1 closed), without
having switched off the main or dipped beam or the sidelights (left door contact switch S17/3 or right switch S17/4 closed), a reminder signal sounds
from the instrument cluster A1.
The reminder buzzer A1h1 in the instrument cluster A1 is actuated by negative via the closed left door contact switch S17/3 or right switch S17/4 and the
closed lighting reminder buzzer contact S8/1. The reminder signal is switched off by switching off the exterior lights or by closing the doors.
