The special vehicle multifunction control module (SVMCM [MSS]) (N26/9) is used to monitor and control special functions for special vehicles.
In addition to its internal functions the special vehicle multifunction control unit (SVMCU [MSS]) (N26/9) also serves as an interface between the CAN
interior and the control units which do not have a separate CAN connection
The control unit can distinguish between two basic status conditions

On request by the customer, private vehicles are also available with a panic alarm
Depending upon the control unit coding and equipment the special vehicle multifunction control unit (SVMCU [MSS[) (N26/9) assumes the following
tasks:

voltage supply to service radio (A49)
^
electrical voltage supply to taximeter control unit (A67n1) or to conventional taximeter (A50)
^
maintain data communications with the taximeter control unit (A67n1) via the RS485 bus or with the conventional taximeter (A50) via four wires.

electrical voltage supply to the interior socket (X58/1)
^
voltage supply of connector for glove compartment (X29/1)
^
control of the taxi emergency alarm system
^
control of the roof sign lamp (E14/4)
^
actuation of ashtray illumination at left (E9/8) and right rear (E9/9)
^
control of subfunctions of the special signal system
^
control of the panic-mode alarm function (private vehicles) c
^
control and regulation of heated windshield (Special-duty vehicles)
