Disconnect filler hose (17) of fuel tank from filler neck (17a)

CAUTION:  Collect escaping fuel in a suitable container!

Check filler hose and hose clamps, if necessary empty fuel tank and replace filler hose.

Lower rear axle

Mark installation position of torque strut (3) on rear axle carrier (1) and on torque strut (3) with felt pen

CAUTION:  Do not mark by scratching or notching the surface!

Detach torque strut (3) from rear axle carrier (1)and remove

NOTE:  Installation:  Transfer installation position marking to new torque strut and bolt torque strut to rear axle carrier (1) in the correct
position.

Replace retaining clips for air springs

With Airmatic, code (489a)

Install in the reverse order

Activate SBC brake system using STAR DIAGNOSIS

Use STAR DIAGNOSIS to move brake pads toward brake discs

Carry out chassis alignment check.
