CAUTION: Hang the brake caliper up with a hook to relieve the strain on the brake hose.

Remove rear brake disk (61)

Remove both brake shoes of parking brake (103)

Pull brake cable (86) out of wheel carrier (7)

Remove left or right rear rpm sensor (L6/3, L6/4) from wheel carrier (7)

Detach link rod (6k) of torsion bar from wheel carrier (7)

Raise wheel carrier (7) using transmission jack and transmission platform until axle shaft (37) is roughly horizontal
CAUTION: Installation: Tighten bolted connections of torque strut, camber strut, thrust arm and track rod.

Detach torque strut (3) from wheel carrier (7)
CAUTION: Installation: Secure torque strut loosely.

Detach camber strut (2) from wheel carrier (7)
CAUTION: Installation: Secure camber strut loosely.

Detach track rod (4) from wheel carrier (7)
CAUTION: Installation: Secure track rod loosely.

Detach thrust arm (5) from wheel carrier (7)
CAUTION: Installation: Secure thrust arm loosely.

Lower transmission jack
NOTE: Installation: Raise wheel carrier (7) with transmission jack and transmission platform until axle shaft (37) is roughly horizontal.

Unscrew bolt holding spring link (6) to wheel carrier (7)

Check whether rear axle shaft is firmly seated in rear axle shaft flange

To loosen a jammed rear axle shaft press rear axle shaft out of rear axle shaft flange.

Lever wheel carrier (7) off the supporting joint (6a) and remove wheel carrier
CAUTION:

Hook the rear axle shaft up to avoid damaging the rubber sleeve of the rear axle shaft.

Installation: Using a suitable tool, drive the sleeve (7b) flush into the wheel carrier (7).

Detach wheel bearing (10) from wheel carrier (7)

Remove brake cover (112c)

Install in the reverse order

Adjusting parking brake

Activate SBC brake system using STAR DIAGNOSIS

Use STAR DIAGNOSIS to move brake pads toward brake disks

Carry out chassis alignment check.
