1. Tape surface zones on windshield cutout on front edge of roof and left and right A-pillar with adhesive tape (2).

Attach adhesive tape (2) to prevent paint damage.

2. Remove apex seal on windshield (1) at top to front edge of roof with suitable tool

3. Cut adhesive bead and support bead on windshield (1) with window removal tool (area B).

4. Cut through adhesive seam on windshield (1) in connection areas on left and right A-pillar and front edge of roof with window removal unit (area

A).

To prevent damaging the lower area of the A-pillar, interrupt cutting procedure, remove cutting blade from window removal tool, turn window
removal tool 180° and reclamp cutting blade. Then continue cutting operation.

Position rag (4) between windshield (1) and engine hood to protect engine hood.

5. Position suction lifting device (3) in upper third of windshield (1) and lift windshield (1) away from body flange.

Aid of a helper is required for guiding the windshield (1), otherwise adjacent body parts and the windshield (1) can be damaged.
