Remove the SCM connector from the jacket tube (Figure 1).

7.

Gently pull the harness out through the opening for the steering column (Figure 2).

8.

Remove the fabric tape next to the connector and push protective sleeve up the harness.

9.

Make note of pin locations and wire colors.

Note:

There are two green colored wires at the at the SCM connector terminals 5 and 11. Terminal 5 is a 0.50 sq. wire for driver Airbag Squib 1 and
terminal 11 is a 0.22 sq. wire for CAN-C Low. The wires must not be interchanged.
