Replacement of Power Windows, Power Windows Sluggish

When replacing power windows in the above model vehicles, for front or rear doors, replacement of the complete power window drive is not
necessary. The power window motor should be checked for proper operation prior to replacing the entire motor. For customer reports of sluggish
power windows, perform the following remedy.

Note:

An operational power window motor should be separated from the mechanical components and reused.

Front Door: 

The window regulator should be replaced using the old power window motor if the window is sluggish.

Rear Door:

1.

Top of frame must remain fixed against the window pane. Gap between upper guide frame (Figure 1, x1) must be smaller than gap at lower guide
frame (Figure 1, x2).

If dimensional deviations occur in the lower area, check whether the window guide frame is bent under the glass pane. In this case, the window
guide frame must be straightened or replaced.
