Removing

Apply color coding of the front propeller shaft to the flange of the front axle differential and to the flange of the transfer case in order to reproduce
the plant installation position when installing.

Unscrew bolts (1 to 6) from front axle gear and/or from transfer case and remove front propeller shaft.

Install

The tightening procedure for the bolts (1 to 6) of the front propeller shaft at the front axle gear and at the transfer case must always be observed,
otherwise noises and vibrations may occur at high speeds.

The bolts (1 to 6) on the propeller shaft to the front axle gear and to the transfer case must always be replaced.

Align markings and move to 12 o'clock position.

Tighten bolt (1) to initial torque of 10 Nm and make marking.

Tighten bolt (2) to the specified torque and mark.

To do so, turn the propeller shaft by 180 degrees.

Tighten the remaining bolts in the sequence 3-4-1-5-6 to the specified torque.

To do so, turn the propeller shaft to the appropriate position.
