Door Seal Loose or Wind Noise from Door
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles regarding the door seal being loose or there is excessive wind noise from the door, there may
be insufficient adhesion between the rubber seal and the door sheet metal causing the door seal to come loose. Perform the below procedure to resolve.
Condition 1: Door seal is loose a maximum length of 20 cm (8 inches) or tape only adheres along half of the adhesive surface (Figure 1, 2).
1. Partially tape down door seal to body (Figure 2) using suitable tape to allow the repair adhesive to be more easily applied.
2. Thinly coat the entire surface of the affected area of the door seal (only apply to the exposed surface of the tape) with the special adhesive using a
spatula, stick or wedge (Figures 3 and 4).
