Telematics CAN (CAN A)

Direct lines

The following signals are received via direct lines:

Analog audio/video signals from external audio or video units via the AUX jack

Analog picture signals from the COMAND controller unit (A40/3) (with code (527) COMAND APS with single DVD drive (with navigation) or
code (512) COMAND APS incl. DVD changer or code (528) COMAND incl. DVD changer) via the Y brightness (luminance)/C color
information (chrominance) (Y/C) line

Analog audio signals from the COMAND controller unit via the stereo line

Telematics CAN

The DVD player is a station on the telematics CAN and communicates with the following components:

Radio (A2) (with code (523) Radio MB Audio 20 or code (510) Audio 20 incl. CD changer)

-

Radio with Auto-Pilot system (A2/56) (with code (525) Radio MB Audio 50 APS or code (511) Audio 50 APS incl. DVD changer)

COMAND controller unit (with code (527) COMAND APS with single DVD drive (with navigation) or code (512) COMAND APS incl. DVD
changer or code (528) COMAND incl. DVD changer)

Decoding of signals

The DVD player decodes the received analog/digital audio and video signals into analog audio and video signals.
