Complaint:

Right rear bumper cover exhibits pinpoint deformation towards the outside. (See Figure 1)

Attachments

Cause:

One stud on the strip clamp for clipping on the bumper cover is welded on too far outwards.

This causes the collar nut to press on the stud to which the strip clamp is screwed, outwards against the bumper cover. (See Figure 1)

Remedy:

- Remove bumper cover.

- Trim collar of plastic nut using side cutting pliers. (See Figure 2)

- Carefully heat bumper cover at damaged point using a hot air gun and restore to its original shape.

- Reassemble vehicle in the reverse order.
