Vibration at Front Driveshaft While Driving at Highway Speeds
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of a vibration at the front driveshaft while driving at highway speeds, this may be due to an
unfavorable torque sequence of the constant velocity joint between the front differential and the front driveshaft. To resolve, perform the below remedy.
1.
Replace bolts on the constant velocity joint between the front differential and the front driveshaft, observe the following tightening instructions
(Figure 1).
2.
White markings on front axle gear propeller shaft constant velocity joint and on front axle gear flange must be at the 12 O'clock position (Figure 2,
arrow), until bolt 1 (Figure 1) has been tightened with initial torque. Always observe the tightening pattern.
