Fuel Supply Line: Service and Repair
Removing And Installing The Fuel Line From The Fuel Filter To The Fuel Distribution Strip
DANGER:

Risk of explosion from fuel igniting, risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin from
contact with fuel

Fire, sparks, open flames or smoking forbidden

Only pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers

Wear protective clothing when handling fuel
CAUTION: Close off the fuel lines in order to avoid running out of the fuel
DANGER: Lethal injuries are possible if vehicle slips off of lifting platform
Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle

Place the vehicle on lifting platform

Open hood and raise to vertical position

Remove the engine cover
4
Release fuel pressure through service valve
NOTE: Collect fuel

Detach feed line (1)
NOTE: Collect fuel

Remove the fender liner at the front and rear at the left
7
Remove the left-hand stone impact protection at the front and rear on the underbody
8
Screw out the screw for the vehicle body on the body suspension unit

Lift up the left-hand side of the vehicle body and remove the three middle body suspension units
NOTE: Do not remove the front and rear body suspension unit.

Detach the fuel line (2) from the fuel filter (3)

Unclip the fuel ine (2) from the longitudinal frame member and remove outwards to the rear
CAUTION: Danger of breaking the clip (4). Unclip the fuel lines carefully.
NOTE: Fuel lines must not be bent.
