The COMAND operating, display and controller unit is the central control for the entertainment and communication systems integrated in the vehicle.

The COMAND operating, display and controller unit acts as a gateway. It routes signals from the interior CAN to the Media Oriented System Transport
(MOST) components and thus forms the communications interface.
