Control Module HVAC: Description and Operation
All Activity Module Task
All-activity module, task
Control of automatic climate control.
-
Recording of input signals from various components
-
Internal processing of input signals
-
Transmission of control signals to various components
Automatic Temperature Control Module
Automatic temperature control module, purpose
Control of air conditioning (Tempmatic).
-
Capture input signals from various components
-
Internal process input signals
-
Transfer control signals to various components
Automatic temperature control module, function
The air conditioning (Tempmatic) control module receives the input signals from various components in order to check the conditions for proper
operation. It transfers control signals to the following components: Air mixing damper actuator, fresh air/recirculated air flap actuator, all-activity
module.
The air conditioning (Tempmatic) control module receives input information from the following assemblies: A/C button, interior air temperature
sensor, temperature dial, blower switch, ice-up protection temperature sensor, air mixture damper position signal.
CDI Control Module Task/Function
CDI control module task
Controlling the following systems in line with the analysis of input signals:
-
Fuel supply system
-
Injected quantity control
-
Emission control system
-
Charge pressure control
-
Cruise control (only AT)
-
AC compressor shutoff
Monitoring inputs/outputs, checking plausibility and storing faults
Formation of substitute values in the event of signal failure (emergency running)
Diagnosis (output of stored faults)
CDI control module function
The CDI control module (N3/9) is supplied with voltage by the fuse and relay module (N10/1 in model 203, K40/4 in model 210, K40/7 in model
220, F1 in model 163).
It detects the input signals and actuates the outputs in line with the operating conditions
