The "TMC" menu item provides a detail display of TMC messages. The default screen appears.

Selection or settings

"Display all messages"

All TMC messages on the route are displayed

"Spoken route message"

The messages that are displayed on the route are output via the vehicle speakers

"Symbol (e.g. A8)"

The displayed messages are sorted according to freeway or road

The TMC messages can be output as the list or displayed on the map.

If the destination-oriented navigation is not active when the TMC menu item is activated, a list of all available TMC messages is then shown.

Selections and settings can be made with the control buttons on the COMAND controller unit.

Route information and options

Display of route information and options (arrival time, distance, view route on map (route browser), inhibit route) is possible under the "Route" menu
item. The default screen appears.

Positions (current vehicle position, target position)

The current vehicle position can be displayed and saved or the target position displayed with the menu item position. The default screen appears.

The "Display compass" function can only be selected in the following menus using the buttons on the COMAND controller unit on the display of the
COMAND controller unit:

On vehicles with code (528) COMAND with DVD changer, the "Display compass" function is selected via the "Navigation" hardkey on the buttons of
the COMAND controller unit.

The compass is displayed on the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1) by selecting the "Offroad display" menu via the left
multifunction steering wheel button group or the right multifunction steering wheel button group.

Basic telephony function

If the "Telephone (Tel)" base function is activated, the default screen appears. The following two variants are available:

Basic telephony, with code (528) COMAND with DVD changer, with code (527) COMAND APS with single DVD drive (with navigation) or
with code (512) COMAND APS with DVD changer
