Complaint:
On vehicles as of model year 2009, the fuel level indicator can drop to 0 without obvious cause.
Note:
The complaint mainly occurs after a long period of driving at constant speed.
Cause:
Faulty fuel level sensor jamming detection of instrument cluster (A1) on diesel vehicles.
Remedy:
Perform SCN coding of instrument cluster (A1) with DAS/Xentry Diagnostics version 11/2009 or later. Do not remove/install/replace any parts.
