Function
The switching components of ABS, ASR and ESP are combined in the traction system hydraulic unit.
One directional valve per wheel for the 2/2pressure buildup/pressure holding and pressure holding/depressurization function is used for control
purposes.
High pressure and return pump
The self-priming high pressure and return pumps integrated in the traction system hydraulic unit are used for the pressure buildup and depressurization
during ASR/ESP regulations and for return delivery during ABS regulations. A silencer exists for each brake circuit to dampen the delivery noise.
The low pressure reservoir takes up the brake fluid during the ABS/ASR or ESP depressurization phase and delivers it to the high pressure/return flow
pump.
Switchover solenoid valves
During ABS, ASR and ESP regulations the switchover solenoid valves shut off the self-priming pump pressure circuit (DK1) (FL and RR) and the
self-priming pump pressure circuit (DK2) (FR and RL) between the wheel brakes and master brake cylinder. They are simultaneously designed as
pressure limiting valves and open at approx. 150 bar.
The brake fluid passing through the switchover solenoid valves is directed back to the master brake cylinder.
Pressure holding/depressurization solenoid valves
2/2 One directional valve per wheel for the pressure buildup/pressure holding and pressure holding/depressurization functions in ABS, ASR and ESP
closed-loop operation is used for control purposes.
