11. Piston (4) and conrod (2) together.

NOTE:  The retaining slots (8) of the conrod bearings must face toward the left side of the engine. The raised fee (4a) on one of the two piston pin
bosses must face in the opposite direction of travel.

CAUTION:  Pay attention to matching pistons and dimensions.

12. Piston pin (6) in by hand.
13. Insert piston pin circlip (5) into groove (arrow).
14. Oil the cleaned cylinder bores, conrod bearing journals, conrod bearing shells and piston (4).

CAUTION:  Install the conrod bearing shell with oil drilling into the conrod (2).

15. Fit tensioning strap (7) tool No. 000 589 04 14 00, or equivalent,  over piston rings and compress.
16. Install piston (4) with arrow in direction of travel.
17. Install conrod (2) and conrod bearing cap (1) with marking (arrow) facing each other.
18. Check conrod bolts (3) and tighten.
19. Turn crankshaft and check clearance.
20. Reverse procedure to install.

NOTE:

Install new pistons with piston rings in uses engines only if the cylinder bore does not have any abnormal wear, and is within the dimensional
tolerances for cylinder shape and concentricity. The honing should be visible and undamaged.
