Drive Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair
Tensioner Pulley

NOTE:  Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

1. Remove fan shroud.
2. Remove viscous fan coupling.

3. Remove poly V-belt (27).
4. Unbolt belt pulley of tensioning device (7).
5. Check ball bearing in tensioning pulley (7) is tight.
6. Reverse procedure to install, being sure to tighten the nut of belt pulley of tensioning device to 45 Nm.

NOTE:

The different versions of the tensioning pulley (7) with diameter 80 mm and 93 mm necessitate different lengths of poly V-belt.

If a 20 mm shorter poly V-belt is installed together with the smaller tensioning pulley (7) (80 mm diameter) when performing repairs, the belt
length should be entered on the last page of the Maintenance Booklet and the Owner's Manual amended accordingly.
