Battery: Technician Safety Information
(1) Fire, sparks, naked flame and smoking prohibited:

Avoid formation of sparks when handling cables and electrical components.

Avoid short-circuits.
(2) Wear eye protection.
(3) Keep children away from acid and batteries.
(4) Risk of explosion:

A highly explosive gas mixture is produced when batteries are charged.
(5) Read notes on battery, in instructions for use and in Driver's Manual.
(6) Risk of acid burns:

Battery acid is extremely caustic.

Wear protective gloves and eye protection.

Do not tilt battery as acid may flow out of the vent openings.
(7) First aid:

If acid has splashed into eyes, rinse immediately with clear water for several minutes. Then, consult a doctor without delay.

If acid has splashed on skin or clothing, neutralize immediately with acid converter or soap suds and rinse with plenty of water.

If acid has been swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
(8) Warning note:

Do not leave batteries unattended and exposed to direct daylight.

Discharged and faulty batteries may freeze up; for this reason always store where there is no risk of frost.
