Voice Activation Module: Service and Repair
AR82.70-P-0003I Remove/Install Voice Control System Control Unit

Removing and installing voice control system control module

Shown On Model 220

Connect quiescent current retention unit
-

See "Commercially Available Tools" below.

Disconnect ground cable of battery

3.1 Remove rear seat cushion
3.2 Remove bucket seat

Model 220 with code 401, right side only.

Remove seat adjustment device on rear sea
-

Model 220 with code 401, right side only.

Unscrew screws (1) and nuts (2) and remove assembly plate (3) from vehicle floor

Disconnect connector (4) from voice control system control module (A35/11)

Disconnect D2B connection (5) from voice control system control module (A35/11)

CAUTION:  Do not bend D2B wires.

NOTE:  If the voice control system control module (A35/11) should be removed for a longer period of time, install adapter for closing the D2B
ring.

Unscrew screws (6)

Install in the reverse order.
