Shift Quality Complaints

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of shift concerns and no fault codes, it is recommended that the transmission be flashed with
the latest software (0004483210) contained in the latest SDflash Release CD (0004488102/0008) - DAS Version 03/2004.

Please remember that the EDAC project is still in progress (until notification of conclusion) and that all issues concerning the 7G-Tronic transmission
with fault codes are still being tracked for continuous quality improvements. Therefore all 7G-Tronic repairs must be called into EDAC and a case
opened as before, with the exception of the software flash described above.

Note: 

With any transmission shift complaint it is always advisable to confirm correct transmission oil fill level. Reference DTB P-B-27.00139 dated
February 26, 2004.

The following allowable labor operations should be used when submitting a warranty claim for this repair.
