Remove trunk lid panel (1 Figure 1) from trunk lid:

Remove 4 screws (arrows), remove trunk latch cover.

Unclip trunk lid panel (1) from trunk lid.
^
Disconnect harness connector from emergency trunk release button (2) and trunk light (if installed in trunk lid panel).
^
Remove trunk lid panel (1).
3.
Disconnect wiring harness connector (arrow, Figure 2) from trunk lid lock connector (1).
