Remove 3 screws (3, Figure 2 [3rd screw not shown]) from trunk lid lock mounting bracket, remove bracket (4).

Check resistance between the two pins (1 Figure 3) on the (yellow) trunk lid lock connector (arrow, Figure 3):

Push Button Actuated: Resistance between the two pins on the yellow connector: < 10 ohms.

Push Button Not Actuated: Resistance between the two pins on the yellow connector: > 1M ohm.

If the values are not within specifications replace the trunk lid lock.

Note (regarding WIS: AR88.50-P-5020M):

DO NOT perform the following steps in the above WIS instructions: 7, 8, 17-21 (they do not apply to this procedure).
