Auxiliary Cabin Heater Intake Fan: Service and Repair
AR83.70-P-5555C Remove/Install Combustion Air Blower Unit
- with CODE (228) Stationary heater
Remove

Remove heater
2.1 Remove coolant circulation pump

Disconnect cover (3) from edge connector

Unclip connector of combustion air blower (2) to the edge connector

Remove screws (9)

Disconnect combustion-air blower unit (1) from burner housing (5) and remove seal (7)

Remove seal (8) of fuel suction-nozzle (6) from housing of the combustion-air blower unit(1)
Install

Insert seal (8) of fuel suction-nozzle into housing of the combustion-air blower unit (1)
NOTE: Use new gasket.

Place seal (7) on to the burner housing (5)
NOTE: Use new gasket.

Partially screw in combustion-air blower unit (1), turn in screws (9) and tighten
NOTE: When mounting the combustion-air blower unit make sure the fuel suction nozzle (6) is correctly positioned.

Screw for stationary heater combustion air unit: 4 N.m

Connect combustion air blower connector (2) to the control module's edge connector
NOTE: It is not possible to interchange the connectors as these are coded and thus polarity safeguarded.

Put cover (3) back onto the burner housing (5) and let it snap into place

Install heater

Bleed coolant circuit after installing heater unit
16.1 Stationary heater (STH) diagnosis, function check
