Rear Door Roller Sun Blind Fails to Retract Completely

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the rear door roller sun blind fails to retract completely, this may be due to insufficient
tension on the blind springs.

1. Remove the interior door trim panel. Refer to WIS Document AR72.12-P-1010M.

2. Remove the screws (Figure 1, 1) from the roller blind and detach the blind from the door panel.

3. Remove the front side screw plugs (Figure 2, 2) from the roller blind assembly.

4. Carefully lift the cover approximately 5 mm (Figure 2, a) and turn it 4 times around its own axis order to increase the tension on the spring.

NOTE:  Do not lift the cover more than 5 mm (Figure 2, a) as this could allow the spring to unwind completely and lose all tension.

5. Return the cover to the normal position and reinstall the front side screw plugs (Figure 2, 2) in the roller blind assembly.

6. Reinstall the roller blind on the door panel with the screws (Figure 1, 1).

7. Reinstall the interior door trim panel. Refer to WIS Document AR72.12-P-1010M.
