Component Identification

Location

The left front door control unit is located on the door module behind the door lining.

General

The left front door control unit is connected to the passenger compartment CAN bus for exchanging data.

Task

The left front door control unit reads in the following sensors and switches, actuates their function and instrument illumination if applicable and switches
following loads via semi-conductor switches

Controlling and switching loads via semi-conductor switches

Left front power closing motor (A85m3)

Left front door additional lock motor (A85m4) (only in Great Britain)

Left outside mirror turn signal lamp (E6/5)

left front door entrance and exit lamp (E17/3)
