With the trunk lid lock tumbler in the neutral position (B, Figure 17), verify the trunk will open when:

actuating the switch on the driver's side door panel

pressing the trunk lid button on the license plate recess
^
pressing the trunk button on the SmartKey
^
With the trunk locked or unlocked, verify the trunk will open when:

pressing the trunk lid emergency release switch
