Use a plastic wedge (A, Figure 5) to carefully pry up and remove the license plate panel (B, Figure 5) on the trunk lid exterior.

Remove the two M6 screws (Figure 6) securing the trunk lid lock on the trunk lid exterior.

Remove the trunk lid lock from the trunk lid interior side.
