Accumulator: Service and Repair

Removing, Installing AIRmatic Central Reservoir

- except CODE (487) Active body control (ABC)

NOTE:  See notes on AIRmatic

Empty AIRmatic system using Star Diagnosis.

NOTE:  Do not empty spring struts

Unscrew bolt (arrow) on bumper

Remove lamp unit

Remove engine compartment lining

NOTE:  Only the left front section

Unscrew pressure line connection (42a) on central reservoir (42)

NOTE:  Seal pressure line with blind plugs during repair work

If pressure line connections or pressure lines are damaged, repair AIRmatic pressure line connection.

Unscrew bolts (42b) and remove central reservoir (42)

Install in reverse order

Fill AIRmatic system using Star Diagnosis

Check AIRmatic for leaks.
