Install camshaft bearing caps (arrows) at cylinders 3 and 9 and tighten bolts in steps of one turn, tightening torque.
Camshafts must not be twisted when bolting on the camshaft bearing caps.

Hold camshafts with wrench (25) 104 589 01 01 00 when bolting on the camshaft bearing caps at cylinders 3 and 9 so that the tips of the cams are
pointing down centered.

Install the remaining camshaft bearing caps (arrows) and tighten.

Camshaft Code Number And Assignment 

The camshaft code numbers are indicated at bearing points 3 and 10 of the right-hand cylinder head and bearing points 17 and 24 of the left-hand
cylinder head (behind bearing caps) (arrows) and stamped with paint on the camshaft flanges (arrows).
