Move ball pivot in all directions with a tube approx. 150 mm in length
it should be possible to move the ball pivot without any play and without jamming or creaking noises
If the boot is leaking, replace supporting joint
Check boot (7f, 8f) for cracks and damage.
With Joint Installed

1. Raise vehicle at the front
2. Check boot (8f) for cracks and damage
3. Check play in follower joint by pulling and pushing the front wheel firmly while testing the ball joint at the same time
4. If the findings are negative, replace upper wishbone (6). See: Control Arm/Service and Repair
