Control Arm Bushing: Service and Repair
Front Bushing (Front Lower Control Arm)
REMOVAL
1. Remove lower wishbone. See: Service and Repair
2. Clamp wishbone in vise
-
Use aluminum or equivalent soft jaws
3. Loosen rubber mount in wishbone with a drift punch
4. Hammer down outer steel casing of rubber mount with a flat chisel
-
Do not damage mounting eye of wishbone
INSTALLATION
1. Clean mounting bores for the mount in the wishbone
2. Coat rubber mount with lubricant part No. 000 989 03 67, or equivalent
CAUTION: Do not use any oil or grease containing acid.
