19. Tighten the brackets (19) of the rear mufflers in each case at the left and right of the crossmember (1) with four new bolts (18).
20. Route both wiring harnesses for the socket (20) via the crossmember (1) and then through the hole in the rear closing panel into the interior and
seal with grommet (12).
21. Push on the filler piece (21) as far as the stop on the crossmember (1).
22. Position both wiring harnesses for the socket (20) between the filler piece (21), the rear closing panel and the crossmember (1) as per the picture.
The two wiring harnesses for the socket (20) are contacted at the trailer recognition control unit (N28/1) and ground, right taillamp in luggage
compartment (W7/1) at a later point in time.
