Component Identification

Location

The rear roller sun blind motor is located below the headliner in the center on the rear roof frame.

Task

The rear roller sun blind motor opens and closes the rear roller sun blind in the area of the stationary glass roof.

Design

The rear roller sun blind motor consists of:

Hall sensor 1, rear roller sun blind (M54/1b1)

Hall sensor 2, rear roller sun blind (M54/1b2)

^

rear roller sun blind motor (M54/1m1)

transfer case,

thermal protection switch

Manually close/open function for rear roller sun blind

When the rear roller sun blind switch (N70s10) is actuated in the overhead control panel control unit (N70), the rear roller sun blind motor is actuated
until the desired position or the limit stop of the roller sun blind is reached.
To change the direction it is first necessary for the roller sun blind to be moved all the way in one direction.
The rear roller sun blind switch has a lower adjustment priority than the corresponding roof roller blind switch (S21/21s2 or S21/22s2).

Close/open function for rear roller sun blind from rear.

When the corresponding roof roller blind switch is actuated, the rear roller sun blind motor is actuated until the limit stop of the roller sun blind is
reached.
When the child safety feature is activated, the roller sun blind can only be moved via the rear roller sun blind switch.
