Cracking Noise from Seat Rail
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of cracking noises coming from the seat rails while traveling on rough roads, this may be due
to not enough lubricant between the upper and lower rail at the end of the seat rail. To resolve, perform the following.
1.
Using the power seat controls, move the seat all the way forward and all the way up.
2.
Using a brush, apply grease as shown in Figure 1 to the lower rail that is closest to the transmission tunnel.
3.
Continue to apply grease to the end of the seat rail (Figure 2).
