Expose the SCM wiring harness. Unclip N80 connector from jacket tube by pushing on lock tabs (Figure 2). Follow harness through opening for
the steering column and disconnect the cable anchor at the 3 o'clock position on the side of the column. The second cable anchor is located
towards the bottom end of the jacket tube at approximately 6 o'clock. Cut the cable tie to release the harness and pull it down into the footwell
(Figure 3).

Unplug the connectors from EIS (N73) through the opening behind the removed trim strip.

Remove the fabric tape from where section A and B of the harness are joined. Remove enough tape to expose the area of section A (circled)
(Figure 4).

The repair harness is color coded to match the car side of the harness. Pins 1 and 8 of the N80 connector are both brown wires and can be
connected to either brown wire on the car side of the harness.

Note:

Pins 3 and 11 of the N80 connector are both green and must not be interchanged.
