Remove retaining ring on inside of bolt for backrest hinge.

Carefully knock out bolt with 17 mm dia. plastic punch; unlock backrest for this purpose. Do not damage plastic bushing during installation
(arrow).

Pull locking mechanism downward slightly and unhook control cable.

Unhook pull sleeve while paying attention to bellows and pull upward and out.

Install control cable and adjust to play of 0-1 mm.

Reinstall in opposite order.
