Install the handset battery, connect the coil-cord, and place the telephone in the cradle (Figure 27).
E. Installing the Push - to -Talk (PTT) Lever
1.
Remove the PTT lever switch plug on the steering column opposite the cruise control lever, by carefully inserting a small screwdriver between the
plug and switch opening and then gently prying the plug away (Figure 28).

Insert the PTT lever into the lever switch opening with the handle pointing up.
